Valentine’s day (Friendship day)
This week the theme in playschool has been friendship and activities has been related to the theme. Today 14th of February is Ystävänpäivä (Valentine’s day or direct translation Friends or Friendship day). Today we celebrate our friends and loved ones. A self-made card and a self-made friendship bracelet is a perfect gift to a dear friend.
Open Doors Day - March 12th
We welcome you to our open doors day on Tuesday 12 March at 4.30 - 5.30 pm
You will get to know our teachers and explore the premises that are designed to support physical activities, music lessons, artistic expressions, crafts and playtime to learn English together.

Our Playschool offers multicultural child development
Many families, who speak English or another language at home at least partially, have found their way to our day care centre. Annie tells about her experiences below
“I chose The English Playschool to help my child learn about English language and culture, including songs, rhymes, games and stories, as it is one of our home languages.
The English Playschool has not only been fantastic for strengthening English language and culture skills in my child, it has also been a great way to connect with other parents and children in the Lauttasaari community because it is owned by a non-profit parent association.
The staff are exceptionally good and they even produce an English-language newsletter every month that is great for us to share with grandparents who live overseas, so that they can see all the day to day activities that their grandchild does.
I’m very happy with the school and highly recommend it to any international families living in Lauttasaari.”
